How exactly does :GetPartBoundsInBox work?

Actually, it seems that it always returned the list of objects, its just that I did not know dots meant that there are multiple objects…

that isn’t the actual solution, it’s just saying how to expand the table. your original problem was it printing absolutely nothing, because you had the raycast mode set to “Include” and not “Exclude.”

So don’t worry, at first it really wasn’t detecting. Or if it was, it was detecting itself.

Mine wasn’t really the solution, Precise’s first post was actually the solution!

I clearly remember dots being printed since the very first test. It also points out in studio, that include thingy should practically point out all items in list including the parts in the FilterDescendantInstances

yeah it was probably detecting itself then. that’s why you want to use include and not exclude, (unless you want the behavior for it to detect itself.)

if you changed it back and ran a test and expanded the dots, it would probably show the tile only.
