How long does it take to learn Cinema 4d or Blender?

I am trying to learn how to use one of these since I am trying to be a better builder and that is what I want to do in 2021. I don’t know how long it takes to learn any f this so I am asking the builders to see if they know.

if anyone has experience with any of this please tell me if they are a good choice and how I can learn them.

Depends on how much time you spend practicing, it’s entirely possible to learn it in a day if all you do for a day is watch Blender tutorials and practice modeling. But for most people probably a few weeks, maybe a month to get used to it.

thank you for your answer. but since I am a starter I don’t know whether to start with blender or cinema 4d. Should I start with Cinema 4D because I heard a lot of people say it is easier than Blender and it is great for beginners Or should I just start with Blender?

Blender is the software i started and continue with, I immediatelly learned most of all the functions just by watching some quick tutorials of 5/10 minutes. I think Blender is easier to understand for the simple aspect of all of it, for the short cuts and the movements. Furthermore It’s free and the only things you pay are some addons that other people create (not all of them are paid) and on Youtube there are many more tutorials ^^
Take this as an advice

Ultimately it takes an infinite amount of time to learn everything there is to learn, but if you’re talking about basic low poly modelling it shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to get the basics down and then after that you’ll just have to practice for a bit and you should be good to go!

I highly recommend the beginner tutorial from CG Fast Track on YouTube, it teaches you everything you need to know to get started.

In my opinion there really isn’t a time limit as more advanced users who use blender still learn new things each and everyday including myself. It can likely depend on how much time you put into learning blender!

Blender is a free alternative program which does take practice to learn the interface and tools and how things work in this software. Just small and with learning the basic things, watch blender guru donut and mug tutorial, it’s more for beginners to start on, it’s very informative in terms of learning the basic tools, techniques, and ropes around blender.

There are many tutorials that go into more depth. I’ll consider taking notes so you could have a better understanding and use those for later process.
