How to make big mesh lighting visible at far distance

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
  • I want map lighting thing at far distance load too.
  1. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
  • Modeler made a map for me and she put 4 pieces of 2048 meshes (biggest roblox allows)
to map but the lighting thing doesnt seem to load at far distance.

She even talked about putting model size smaller so we can just fit all into 2048.

  1. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?
  • Yeah I’ve looked for solution.

This is a long time issue. I’m surprised you haven’t seen other posts about Lights only reaching for 60 studs and also not being rendered at distances to keep the rendering engine from getting overloaded.
There are no solutions for this other than building everything smaller, but even on a 2048x2048 stud Part you’d still wouldn’t see lights at far distances.

I thought I read on the forum recently that they were working on making lights visible at longer distances, but I don’t think it’s going to be released in a while.

I think @Scottifly is referring to Unified Lighting, which is now available in Studio as a beta feature. See the linked thread for details.
