How to prevent a Ui to get to the other side?

Sorry, perhaps what I’m trying to say is the distance from which side of the screen where the AnchorPoint of the Black UI is.

That got me sooo confused :sob: Thanks for ur reply, it helped.

May you pls answer the following questions?

Question 1:

May you pls review ur post (num.16) and fix ur mistakes in order to not confuse ppl with the same problem if i hopefully put u as my solution?

EXAMPLE:

You could change it to the distance between the Black UI and the side of the screen

I also think that it needs more specification.

EXAMPLE:

CALCULATION EXAMPLE:

The x offset or the y offset?

I know it’s the x, it’s just for specifications

Question 1:

NO PARENT:

What if theRed UI has an AnchorPoint of 0, 0, should the Black UI have 1, 0?

Question 2:

NO PARENT:

Does it really matter Which side it’s attached to ?

Question 3:

NO PARENT:

In "The Frame AnchorPoint.X" Which Frame r u talking about? (the black UI or the Red UI)

Question 4:

NO PARENT:

In "+/- Space between Black UI and AnchorPoint" which sign ("+, /, -") should i use?

Question 7:

CALCULATION EXAMPLE:

Which Frame?

Question 8:

CALCULATION EXAMPLE:

Is the Claculation Example about the file (OffsetSizing.rbxm) u sent?

Sorry for asking a lot of questions

Sorry, I do most of these stuff by my own intuitions, so I tried to explain them in a way that might help other people through the use of calculations. Here are your answers:

  • Q1A: Revised in main post,

  • Q1B: It’s X, Revised in main post.

  • Q2: Yes in your case, as it wont scale as shown if you don’t determine where and what things with what side of the screen they are supposed to follow the size/position of.

  • Q3: It’s the Black UI. Revised in main post.

  • Q4: Revised a bit in main post. Just try which one will work, I can’t really explain them in short sentences.

  • Q7: It’s the Black UI. Revised in main post.

  • Q8: No.

Also I think you might be better off using the UIPadding version if you feel confused about the ‘No Parent’ one.

@Pyrenol

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! IT WORKED!!!

but can u pls make the white line centered when i adjust the size of the screen?

i did the “NO PARENT” technique “that u proposed” on “The black ui” with the texts: “Coin” and “Number”

result when the screen is over sized:

The white line glides to the right side while over sizing the screen

result when the screen is the desired size:

The white line is centered

Result when the screen is shrinked:

image

the white line glides to the left side while shrinking the screen.

Note :
here, the white line is a child of the black ui.
(it can also be unparented)

i have no preferences (Whatever works)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UR HELP!!!
