How to Protect My Game Assets?

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening — depending on when you’re reading this!

First of all, sorry if my English isn’t perfect, I’m using a translator.

I’ve seen a lot of Roblox files being shared around, some even labeled as “no copyright block” or “uncopylocked,” and many of them clearly contain assets from popular games.

Is there anything I can actually do to protect my creations from being copied? Or is this just something we have to accept since everything runs on the client?

I’m about to release my first game and I really want to take every possible step to keep my work safe.

I’m talking about builds, characters, animations, and similar assets.

If anyone has any advice or tips, I’d be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

A lot of those stolen assets where most likely datamined from the game they’re originated from. Put it simply, there is no way to prevent your stuff from being datamined/stolen if they’re client-sided (from my knowledge at least).

The best way you can prevent your stuff from being stolen is simply by archiving them and reuploading. This should prevent people from stealing them.
