How would I go about making a pick up animation?

im trying to make it so that if there’s an oil barrel, the player can pick it up and it will be attached to the player’s arms. my only issue is that there arent many resources on this kind of area so if anyone has any experience in this line that would be amazing.

I vaguely remember a post asking the exact same question with the exact same references… Ill find it and will return… stay tuned.

Looks like you made a post like this before. Did the resources you found not help?

hey Hazel,
nice to see you again and thanks a million for the reply! i haven’t coded in months so i’m back now, my apologies i completely forgot about that post but unfortunately you’re correct, i had no luck at all with the resources i found. they more less show the complete result of the animation rather than showing the “from scratch” process if that makes sense.

i think roblox had something in the documentation on interactable animations so i’ll have a look there but i’m not sure if it will be of any help.

Will these help?

Since this is more of a scripting thing, I think moving this to #help-and-feedback:scripting-support would show this post to more scripters.
