I need help with this, so please Help me here

Okay so, I’m experiencing a major problem on roblox studio while building. Its related with scaling, moving & rotating a part. When trying to get that one certain part to match with other, I just don’t seem to get it done. I even tried F3X but the results are same. I don’t know whether, I’m being dumb, not knowing anything or is it the studio new update or a bug? I have recorded a video, so hopefully yall can see what I’m experiencing.

Check the video from 0:06-0:15 for the problem.

Please help me here guys, I’m really irritated. Like I mentioned above, I don’t know if its the studio or me just being stupid. Please help me out here!

So I’ve had this problem before. I’ve found two ways to fix this.

  1. Use Properties. In properties, you can adjust the part or mesh off of the position. Move the part in the direction you want it to go while looking at the properties section called Position. Then press Ctrl + z to put the part back where it. After you say which one you have to adjust and which way to move the numbers, do that until it is aligned to you liking. This way can be easier sometimes but can take a while.

  2. The second method I’ve found is a plugin called Alignment+ (Link below). This can be very helpful but might be confusing on how to use it at times. A YouTube video is also linked below on how to use it.

Is it just me or did the video never play?

Hey buddy, thank you for your response. As for the 1st solution, I’ve been trying it since the past 2 days but for the 2nd one, I’ve yet to give it a try. I’ll be sure to try it out and give you the feedback.

Once again thank you so much for your response, will contact you within 24hrs!

Check gyazo. It should play cause the first guy checked it out.

I did check it, but you never played the video from the start.

Also in the future, I would just download the video and upload it onto here.

oof, sry my bad. Is it okay if I send u a link and you could download it?

I’d try retaking the video or describing your issue with words.

The 7 second video plays, but the only thing that happens is the RobloxApp name disappears from the bottom of the screen.
Do you have your Move tool scale set to a value, or is it unchecked/has 0 for the value? Check the box and set the value to .2 or 1 (stud).

Okay, I checked out the video and I don’t see what the problem is. Can you use words to describe?

If you check the video from 0:07 - 0:12, you’ll see that the part don’t align at all. Giving it a simple explanation, there is a scifi pillar from which I move a part to another pillar but they just don’t match their position. I don’t know if I’m putting this correctly but check the video from the clip I mentioned.

  1. Try moving the camera closer to be more accurate

  2. Don’t build with low increments

  3. Use this.

  4. Use the select tool and align each corner manually

The plugin you linked me has been also been recommended by the first guy. So, I’ll surely check it out and give you the response within 15hrs. Thank you

Someone else was complaining that their alignment wasn’t working when grabbing the Part and moving it to a wedge surface. Maybe this is an update glitch. My studio hasn’t changed its settings in the updates. How do i Enable an Part Alright Setting?

Does the position help out? Like going to the property of the wedge and pasting it to the part?

On @CallMeMike_02’s post?
Normally you can just left click and hold the part, drag it over the wedge and it’ll align to the surface of the wedge. In his case it isn’t aligning.
