I want to push major updates to ROBLOX's group interface

We as group leaders, do everything in our power to make new and intuitive features to our bases, programs and everything we make, the thing about warclans is that they require A LOT of development, all of which is handled quite well, this isn’t what I’m asking for because this is something that is always being done and is always being improved upon developers. If i’m suggesting feature requests to my dev team, it’ll be given to them, not this forum.

These are features that SHOULD be added, saying that I need to present ROBLOX an incentive to make this feature isn’t exactly giving a sound solution or advice, not every post on this forum is suppose to be presented in a means to corporate gain.

I don’t mean to offend or be rude, but that’s how I felt your comment was directed.

I absolutely love ALL the ideas, They would be such a useful thing for a group like mine, I also wouldn’t mind if there was some sort of payment system that would pay a user a certain amount of Robux over and over again automatically on a timer. Like to reward the people in my group that are doing a lot of work for the group. Also a War system would be cool :open_mouth: Docklands vs Rockport

On another note, Having a Promotion System from an in-game script would be SO useful, My group currently has one but it has to route though a privately owned site then to a BOT account to promote the user which is a huge pain to setup for most users.

There are many people out there that dedicate all of their time on Roblox to groups, And some groups like Rockport are very alive.
Although the Clan feature on groups is quite useless in most groups, I have never seen a group really use it since PP was nerfed.

It’s definitely on the groups to make the Group feature more appealing to new users, however there’s definitely a lot more ROBLOX can do to breathe life back into them.

But one must think of this from ROBLOX’s perspective: groups don’t really generate much income for them in comparison to many other features, so why should they put their time and therefore money back into them?

While we can all think of many reasons why groups should receive updates, it seems our priorities do not align with theirs in this regard.

I can speak from personal experience when I can say a lot of the more adult community on ROBLOX are here strictly because of groups and the clanning experiences they offer, I constantly have friends who say they’re going to quit roblox to play something else because they’re too old for it, and then return a week later because clans.

These people who run clans are always spending money for their group, NoelsNook spent over $5000 USD on his United States Military, for ads, ranks, groups, and other things that were necessary to run it. I buy OBC every year because I need it to run my clan and maintain a steady flow of members, it’s a feature of ROBLOX that further allows more players, even more adults to get involved in ROBLOX because of the communities you can create.

That’s the thing though. Returning users. New users don’t have much incentive to join clans.

While that’s true and new users don’t necessarily join clans or go into making one straight up as they join, I joined ROBLOX in 2008, a year later i started buying BC, and in 2010 I started working with clans. If it wasn’t for clans I would have left a long time ago, it’s unfortunate for me to say that I’m not here primarily for the games on the front page, but because of the development ability and clan community.

With that said, I’m always meeting new users who join ROBLOX and start joining clans, although few. But realistically, for “new users”, a lot of them don’t buy BC straight away or start putting money into it until they find something they like, clan leadership is an option with BC just like everything else.

I’d be fine with some extra incentive, maybe some cheap prices for some of these new features, but this is a feature ROBLOX added in the first place and, it shouldn’t be pushed off to the side especially when clans are such a major reason for people to play.

At a minimum, they really need to fix all of the stupid errors that happen when you attempt to change ranks/pages. That is just soooo freaking annoying…

If a feature is done badly (IE not done in a way that makes it easy to use for the end user), of course it leads to poor revenue generation. Anyway, you could argue that sun beams don’t directly generate revenue just as groups don’t, yet they are shipping sun beams.

Customer(player) retention is a key part of any business, especially in multiplayer businesses. Customers = revenue regardless of how old or new they are.

By improving groups, you breathe life into an already established system which does generate income (well at least in my case it does). Hundreds of players have dumped over R$1K into country groups, never mind the large number of divisions people create when the main group is up and running.

I just feel like when people say groups, they just think war groups, not the RP and country groups that make up a significant portion of groups.

Yes, I’d still like to see a more official response.
