are you using surface appearences?
Hey! This feature seems to be messing up my projects by making them plain neon. Tried to mess around it, nothing fixed it. This happened when I enabled the Dynamic Environment Reflections, and when disabling it, it did not fix it. It looks like Itâs stuck.
Iâm currently running on macOS Big Sur
Hereâs what Iâm seeing:
Thank you for reading and viewing, hope a fix comes to this. My thinking wouldâve been because Iâm on an M1 chip but it may be something different.
Loving this feature tho, great job to everyone working on this!
What is Lighting.Technology setting of your place? If switching Technology doesnât solve this problem, could you send me a test place that can reproduce the problem? Thanks.
I did try to switch my Lighting.Technology setting from Future Lighting to various of other Technologies, it did not solve. I will direct message you a test place of this issue right away. Thanks again for replying during the weekend!
I agree 100% they need to make it where when you walk around your camera follows with it not just stays there like a skybox reflection.
The thing about this ENV maps, is that it canât be realtime and has a delay inbetween reflection changes.
They need to make an actual reflection not some excuse for reflections on cars or guns or even swords bruh
That would be very expensive for most system, because they need to use SSR which is indeed realtime but isnât very performance friendly
They could make it where if your settings is high it would be able to run it but if it was one inch lower then it wouldnât be real time
Yeah, that is what I said, but roblox will just waste time and do it next year probably
I donât care about the the topic weâre talking about, I just wanna know how that good global illumination was made.
by using lights on the colored parts
How do I enable this feature? I have surface appearance on, have the beta feature on and have both sliders all the way to the right.
To get the effect you have to turn metal and specular all the way up, so stuff like that you barely notice a difference.
I do have metal PBR on and even had metal texture for that piano but I didnât see anything besides the lights.
Is your graphics quaility set up to max?
Well it seems like its working. I can tell cause its very bright and the pianos shadow is brightened up. And if your confused why you dont notice a reflection probably because the roughness or metalness map isnt, i guess you could say shiny enough to see it. And if im wrong, it could be because your walls are just thin and is leaking light from outside. Or you just have to give it some time and move your camera around. Since it takes some time for it to generate.
Yes it is. I have both graphics settings all the way up and the effect still doesnât appear.
