I know this sounds like a discussion but hey i want to know
As the tittle says, is blender 2.79 still good for making a gfx, i mean my computer can’t run it and i stick to the older version, but i would like to know if this is still good for GFX, otherwise i go back to c4d and i dont know.
Well people made good gfx, before blender 2.8, if people made good gfx before you can to, except I would rather prefer blender 2.8 because the intereface looks better for me, but yes you can
It depends what render engine you want to use, if you plan on using Blender Render or Cycles, it should be the same as 2.8 but, if you want to use Eevee(a render engine introduced in Blender 2.8), you’ll have to use Blender 2.8. Most shortcuts should be the same but, if they’re not, you can remap shortcuts or, you could make a model in Blender 2.79 then “load” it in Blender 2.8.
Blender 2.8 has some pretty neat features like a powerful denoiser (denoise node), realtime render, cloth sculpt (My favorite), and many other things.
Also newer versions have faster render times.
