Is my game allowed on Roblox?

Yeah the internet is has many insecure little kids who spend their time trying to argue, not a surprise. But what do you think about the vomit screenshot I sent? Let me know if you think that’s more accepted by Roblox

As long as no loud or disgusting audios, it should be fine.

Probably Not.

Been on Roblox since 2017, and never seen a gory game as this one (Not Including those condo/illegal games.) I’m prolifically sure Roblox won’t accept this. As, most films that incorporate vomit psychics are usually marked as 14+/18+ by film directors and audiences. To add to this, vomiting also marks the line between actual gore and cartoon violence. (Roblox doesn’t allow anything above cartoon violence.) Anyways, I assume the most goriest subject, you can do on Roblox is detachment of limbs, if it isn’t too bloody of course.

But if you produce your product, I deeply recommend a setting to turn off excessive gore and gore altogether. You might experience a low player reach, if you limit a certain age rating from playing your product.

Anyways, cool subject/game idea.

Thanks for letting me know! Can you be more specific of what exactly makes it look so gory? Is it the blood t shirt, alien growths, animation or only the blood vomitting? This way I can know exactly what the issue is and can change it up or remove it

Just a quick notice that I’m pretty sure your game is allowed.
The Mimic is a prime example of a horror game that’s straight-up jump scaring people haha (and they do it really well :scream: )

If you’re still unsure, you can do one of the following things to find out if your game is allowed:

  1. Email or message Roblox DevRel asking the question.
  2. Check the ToS yourself; it’s publicly available here.
    Or both

Good luck!

Thanks! How can I email or message Roblox DevRel?

Nevermind! I found it, the email is devrelations@roblox.com just in case anyone else needs it.

The concept of the game looks super interesting, I’ll def play when yall release ^3^

The puking looks a bit much though, I do like it too. Maybe roblox would let it pass since it’s nothing bloody.

Thankss!!! Do you think anything other than the puking should be changed? I did see that coughing up blood is not allowed on Roblox so I changed the colour. Thank you for your feedback too!!

My take on this;

  1. (as the wonderful @Megalodox_Official has already stated) Restrictions keeping <13 users out.
  2. An option to disable blood/gore/possibly disturbing sounds.
  3. Some description/in-game warning concerning disturbing material, people regardless of their account age may be disturbed and report the game for giving them no warnings.

This is way better than banning 13- users, also his method does not work because that’s not how account age works.

There’s no way to check if a user if <13 efficiently, why does everyone keep bringing this up? (Yes the chat filter ‘sorta’ works, but it’ll break if Roblox makes chat filter changes)

Of course people lie about their real age, it’s Roblox; the only thing that can be done is checking for the player’s account age. It’s all that we have without asking for pictures.
It’s a kid’s own fault if they’re disturbed by what they see having taken restrictions off themselves with falsely aged accounts. Still would keep out a percentage of people who have yet to celebrate no safechat.

Not Player.AccountAge

I think what we’re looking for is this, Developer Hub’s class of Player, boolean for <13. I’m not sure if it’s deprecated, but it doesn’t seem so. Not a programmer. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You know that Player.AccountAge returns the players account age in days. So you’ll be banning people who joined 12 or less days ago and not underage users.

wouldn’t this part of PolicyService work somewhat efficiently for determining whether a player is 13 or not?

I’ve never used it personally, but it seems like it would work pretty well.

By using this service you’re also banning all players from a whole bunch of different countries, largest being China.

Roblox in China doesn’t exist anymore, and you’d have to first submit an application for your game to be checked by Roblox moderators if it’s suitable for China(were it still up). still seems like a good solution imo. any country that bans discord or youtube probably doesn’t have roblox in the first place

  1. That’s against the Roblox rules.

  2. I don’t think that’s even possible.

I don’t think you’re allowed to age lock the game like this, I believe it falls under discrimination.

Plus, moderation won’t give them a free pass because of an age lock system.

Sepcifically, I think it would be the alien growths, and blood vomiting. The alien growths kinda look disturbing/disgusting if you are squeamish to blood or any over the top weirdness. To compare, it’s kinda like puberty in a way, some people think it’s weird, some just accept it as normal.

As i said before, I don’t usually think vomiting blood is allowed on Roblox. Maybe, vomiting your stomach fluids is okay. But vomiting blood is considered gore by Roblox.

RoBio, got banned by excessive amount of gore/skin deformities and overall weird idea of the game. RoBio kinda reminds me what I saw in your little video, this is why I stated it.

Anyways, I’ve seen a game called “Survival Of The Fittest” use a vomiting mechanic, but it only used stomach fluids instead of blood material.

Also, is your alien game like Among Us?
