Is there a way to set rank and role for members of my group through a script in the game?

I have seen a role-playing game where players can set their rank directly in the game as long as they have permission. I have tried a few methods but still can’t imagine how to do that.

This is the exact solution as you would need Roblox API to do this sort of thing.
