Is this a good method of connecting buttons to UIs?

It’s not misunderstanding; it’s me trying to explain why balkanizing stuff with modules is bad.

In laymans terms:
PSA: stop using unnecessary and useless loading screens unless needed!
Imagine it being a single script:
local function hi(a,b)
    return a+b
end

return hi(1,4)
This will become instruction:
LOADN R0 5
RETURN R0 1
The bytecode compiler saw how useless the function “hi” really is, so it inlined it completely.
Now let’s look at the “balkanized” (your module script) example of what it will look like:
MOVE R1 R0--getting function from module
LOADN R2 1
LOADN R3 4
CALL R1 2 -1--calling function (notice that compiler get so confused it does not even know how many arguments to expect)
RETURN R1 -1
