Licensed Audio Protection

We can’t use item ownership for two reasons:

  • Groups don’t own other user’s assets
  • It will break existing games where the game’s creator doesn’t own the asset

Not if we do that “make all audio free” thingy.

Should prob make that a feature then. Sounds more simple than a complex permission system.

But let’s say I want to give another user ten of my assets. I have to make them all free, have him take a copy of each one, and then make them all not free. Not only is this a lot of work for both of us but there is a window of time where a third party can also grab a copy for themselves and there’s nothing I can do about it.

It would be much better if I could simply grant him access to them and he wouldn’t have to do anything except use them.

Well that problem we got in more assets than audio.
What if you want to give a model to a certain player?

There has to be a trading system for this.
But until then this system would still work.
