Lighting Looks Different In-Game vs Studio

Hey everyone,

I’m running into a weird lighting issue where everything looks great in Studio, but when I play the game, the lighting looks completely different and worse. Shadows, colors, and overall brightness don’t match what I see while editing.

Issue

In Studio, the lighting looks smooth and natural

However, in Game, the lighting is something like shadowMap

What I’ve Tried

  • I searched devforum, but there was no solution
  • High end devices and low end devices look same on max level of graphics

Possible Causes?

Could this be related to how Roblox handles rendering in live games vs. Studio? Is there a setting I’m missing?

Is there any way to fix this, with script or something?

are you using the new beta feature? if so, it only works in studio (hence… studio beta.)

also how do you think this is related to scripting. this seems like a #help-and-feedback:art-design-support, #help-and-feedback:building-support, or even #help-and-feedback:platform-usage-support

thought there was some sort of script. Ima be more careful with choosing categories next time.
