Lower difficulty of animating skinned meshed ocean?

Hello, I want to figure out how I can animate this ocean easier.

We have created a skinned mesh to use for our game, but, despite trying this out ourselves through many links and sites, we have come to halt. We are trying to replicate something like this.

This is our current progress:

We don’t know how to make this animation easier, as it seems impossible to fully animate such a mesh.
We need help being sent towards the right path.

Sorry, no. I just recalled seeing that post a while back and loving it. You may be able to message @tyridge77 to get better details. They seemed pretty helpful in the post.
