My problem is that my Roblox game’s memory usage stays high no matter what I do. Here’s a breakdown of things:
Memory usage of my game before trying anything: ~1500mb (on Roblox, not in Roblox Studio)
Memory usage of my game after deleting everything (EVERYTHING): ~1150mb (also on Roblox)
I tried: re-installing Studio and making a copy of the game but no matter what I do the memory usage stays high.
Is there a virus? Or is this a bug?
Thanks!

It’s normal, I believe it also depends on your device memory as it occupies a percentage of it.
That’s fair, accessibility is critical, but it is impossible to hit the current set targets of 200 MB. No game on Roblox hits this as far as I can tell. So no one with that low end of a device can even play.
So even something more reasonable, at say, 525 MB, which I believe is achievable today, would be good.
Note that an empty baseplate on my phone uses 500 MB right now.

It seems to me that while Roblox would sure be better if the memory usage was only 200 MB, there’s no way to hit…

Roblox is just very bloated, that’s why memory usage is always so high. There’s nothing we can really do fix that. Only roblox themselves can do something.

I read that ~400mb would be a good target for memory usage, is that not possible? And how would 1500mb memory usage affect playability for mobile players?
Depends on their phone, I believe phones are getting more memory nowadays.
Roblox recently made a good guide on this perhaps its only a small % of your playerbase.
But even then its mostly phone dependent good phone can handle 1500 mb bad phone handles 1500 mb badly.
It feels like not an exact science like a goldilocks its too hot or too cold scenario.
