Module Autocompletion Inconsistency

In Roblox Studio, module methods and constants don’t consistently autocomplete in some places, even with identical module scripts. Autocompletion works when the same module is used in a new place. Reloading Studio and clearing the cache doesn’t resolve the issue in affected places.

Hi @MuffinHandler

Sorry to hear that! We’ve done few update for autocomplete recently so just want to check are you still seeing this issue?

Thank you!

I was reporting it for a friend, so it might be better if he answers @officialethanrb

The autocomplete issue regarding required modules has been fixed in recent updates thankfully!

Still having issues, I require multiple modules and only a few work

Now I have problems too with the autocompletion. It just always shows an orange bar at line 1 in most scripts for some reason??

I think this is due to the “New Luau Type Solver” Beta Feature, check if you have it enabled. It’s not very polished right now and prone to failing, which is what the orange bar represents. If you open the “Script Analysis” window, it should explain that the Type Solver failed somewhere in your script and gave up, which also affects Autocomplete.

Yeah, please try to disable new Luau type solver beta feature, and see the issue is still here or not. You can also open Script Analysis widget to get more info from message.

Hi @LvieReal

Do you enable New type solver beta feature? DO you see any warning/error message from Script Analysis window? We will need to follow up with you to have more info to track down the issue.

Hi, I don’t have this beta feature on (as it’s obviously unusable) and there are no warnings or errors in script analysis

Some modules in some scripts just work and some don’t, the one that doesn’t work had either 100 or 500 lines, and up to 10 functions with a couple of arguments, I can either share the place file in PMs or team create tomorrow so that I can find and describe it more precisely
