I didn’t intend to say that they’ll stay there, just meant to introduce that without any further edits, the raw capture will always stay slightly uneven. Of course, they can manually adjust the head’s position so that it stays at the middle.
Aside from that, I don’t think that this is unnatural, aren’t most animations not symmetrical. Wether the alternative idle looking sideways, or a foot stepping out, etc. The twist may be kinda annoying, but it is a mocap capture (the animation pack also used to be called the mocap animation pack).
Considering it’s always playing for hundreds of thousands of people at a given time, in my opinion it should be edited so that the head is symmetrical, yes. Just a polish thing.
The asymmetries in one-off animations don’t bug me too much because I usually don’t have to stare at them for very long.
Sorry to bump this trend. But aren’t the new default animations from the Rthro Animation Package? Run, Walk, SwimIdle, and Swim were all replaced with Rthro Animations.
