New game in testing

So this game is going to be my side project and so far its pretty simple, i have not done any scripting yet but will later. Can you tell me what you want for the game?

THE GAME IS IN TEMPORARY-TESTING IF YOU COME TO THIS TOPIC AND GO TO THE GAME AND YOU CANNOT PLAY IT IS BECAUSE TESTING HAS FINISHED!

The game was pretty good, Just maybe add some more decor to the map, and possibly reduce the amount of barrels.

Other than that, Nice job.

You can now find an update log here!:

Like the visuals, and the questionable gui.

But if you have recoil at least crank it up so you can feel the anger. And maybe some other guns?

Other guns will be added during development at later stages, they most likely will be gamepasses though

Im gonna post an update here as it is fairly significant for reasons:

Update!:

  • Added premium benefits including a premium sniper with a custom skin and 6 ammo capacity!

WOW such a good update!!

The game is to not go out of public playing I have decided, I am working on a “large” update which when released will lead the game into alpha, the game will be in alpha when I’m ready and when I want it to be!

If you have any suggestions for the game please do make sure to tell me about them as it helps me a lot.

A few pieces of feedback!

  1. Jumping needs to be improved. Right now, you can hold jump and scale walls in a really buggy way.
  2. Sniper is really loud, I’d scale it back a bit. I know it needs to sound loud and powerful, but it’s a very sharp and sudden sound. You could always make it a bit lower for client, and a bit louder w/ a longer max distance for the server side.
  3. Given the mechanics of your game, I think the fun will depend greatly on map design. When you begin designing maps for real, consider lines of sight and verticality. Eg: If you look at most cod maps, you can often see 3 primary paths: left, middle, right. Within each of these core paths will often be sub-paths you can take, and this is where verticality often comes into play. Since your game is relying on sniper mechanics, I’d look at sniper sim games or COD maps that are known for sniping, and think about what they do good and bad. Perhaps watch youtube videos of people reviewing these games or maps and consider their input on what was fun and not fun.
  4. Props do nothing when shot. Consider making it so cans go flying when shot, explosive barrels, lamp posts/lights/glass that shatters when shot etc. Little details can make a big difference.
  5. Generally I have to agree with others though, maybe consider more guns or some kind of additional mechanic. I don’t know how much fun a sniper pvp game will be at face value.

Good start and goodluck

I like the map, it looks really nice, but I’d recommend making the grass on top of rock outcroppings look more natural, by adding some overhang onto the side of the rock. Other than that, I don’t really have much feedback, it’s a good start!
