Not everyone is a target for account theft like big devs and rich people. Most regular people who get compromised have it happen through cookie logging scams, which would have been better solved with a rework of the roblosecurity system than this heavy-handed solution.

Nice update, but you were a bit late for this. 1 developer quit ROBLOX a few weeks ago after getting hacked numerous times, even with all security features enabled.

Hm, maybe if the player hasn’t joined in a long time, that would be a great case for that. And yes, AI could be used for that I don’t find an issue, that shouldn’t be easily bypassed with a link, I don’t find that possible as they could make that check required until they put the code in;

Also: Location should be used for that, it isn’t right to see someone joining from the USA when you live in CANADA or some other country, I live in brazil and probably if I used a vpn that would prompt.

2-Step Verification (2SV) can be painful sometimes. but it is RECOMMENDED for it to be enabled on your account.

what about the people who leave 2SV off because, well, they dont want it on but OOPS roblox randomly enables it on them!!!

If they were hacked with 2-SV, why would 2-SV fix the issue?

Can this occasional check not be used on mobile, since most mobile users are children? Kids won’t know what is going on. (Talking about the occasional checks, not talking about 2SV as a whole.)

Regular checks, not enabled. It won’t enable 2SV. It just gives you a prompt sometimes.

This is a good idea for those who haven’t enabled it for whatever reason and begins to encourage better security for players’ accounts.

Finally, Roblox took another step up the Security Stairs… next step should be that we can use Authenticator app or maybe a physical account key that should be optinal.

Good feature, but should be improved. Hackers easily can get cookies and login bypassing password email and verification

stuff like this does stop programs and is one step ahead from stopping compromises & password guessing programs, however, you guys should most definitely extend the pin feature throughout trading to prevent common compromises from happening.

This is a good stance, it will generate positive behavior for people who don’t have 2SV. However, I still don’t think the security at ROBLOX is good, and more features such as the ones previously discussed would make this feature sing.

I am really happy to see that roblox has stepped up their game with 2SV. I think many of us agree to this change, but I’d like to see Google Authenicator as an option
