Instead, of “Try and find someone near the water” i would try
Search the area in my opinion i hope this will help a bit
I mean having a recording software, and multiple tabs open makes the video a bit laggy
Thanks for the feedback, I will make those adjustments!
Looks good keep up the good work
Here’s a few names for you:
“Plagued Beginnings” - People are dying in this game often, similar to a lot of old Europian plagues (like for instance: The Black Death), and it’s the beginning of the apocalypse.
“The Wretched” - Literally in the name, Zombies are Wretched, they’re just scary, creepy, and you wouldn’t wanna be near them whatsoever.
“Viral Tendencies” - Zombies are usually linked to a Virus of some kind, wordplay on how it spread across the world, thus the tendency to become a zombie would be very ‘viral’
If I come up with anymore I’ll be sure to add them to the list!
I’m not a coding expert but I know you should be using region3 for the sounds/music, it makes no sense having birds chirping underground in a cave let a alone with no trees nearby. Region3 would allow you to zone areas to play different music I’d highly recommend it
This game is nowhere near completed, I still have so much to sort.
when you went near the wood boards at the entrance of the cave, 2 sentences played at once, or I might have not seen it well
Honestly, the repetitive (and loud) bird chirps start to get really annoying. In addition, the chirps can clearly be heard in the caves, which is not realistic. Consider making the chirps more sparse and softer, and consider removing them altogether?
That has now been fixed, I forgot a if statement
You can no longer hear the bird sound in the cave, and the sound doesn’t play as much there is a time gap.
ANOTHER UPDATE
I have added some trees, and added a brand new area. Next is the voice acing and expanding the map so it goes to a large field where you meet the creatures!
Ignore the pink walls, these are here so I know where I have blokced things off.
Forget to mention this earlier, but based on the videos above:
- Remove most of the grass in the cave, except where the spotlight is. Grass doesn’t grow in caves.
- “Zombie Infection’s” should be changed to “Zombie Infections.” No need to add a apostrophe.
- When you say that the town is missing it implies that the physical buildings have disappeared, which I assume is not the case. You should probably use the word townspeople or a word similar to that.
- Character animations should be added for the person beside the lake along with expression changes. Why is he smiling when he’s scared?
- The cut-scenes should tell a story, but they just zoom around a lake. How does this lake have any significance to the main story? Consider having the camera pan around an abandoned town or something similar in ruin.
- When you meet the NPC, it says “Mission Complete” for way to long. I wasn’t focusing on the actual text below.
- You forgot a period at the end of the last sentence.
Hope this helped!
Awesome, thanks for the feedback I will do some adjustments now.
What’s the game can I have a link to it so I can play it btw keep up the good work
Hey cool idea!
Story games are fun; you might look into providing more context behind the zombie setting tho. You’re using a lot of nature settings, so maybe that could fit into foraging for supplies to bring back to a hideout against zombies.
Definitely work on setting zones of the map with various terrains and themes. Also look into making the terrain more dense, what you have now is good but trees and buildings (even a few scattered cabins) will up the great graphics ur already laying out.
Sorry, the game is private untill I get atleast chapter one out.
Thanks
I will take your feedback, I will try and add those features!
The game is now called Plagued Beginnings
This seems quite realistic but more information about the story background would be good. Also, this is just a personal preference but I think you could add different elements into your game. Right now, it’s just this calm peaceful map and with the same mountains and land(still looks good tho), what if you could add more things to make your map look more adventurous.
