Luckily it seems like painted metal might make that not necessary in the future, which would be amazing!
Although the Specular Scale may make it shiny compared to the original metal, the gold in the image above is almost like a chrome. I did get a response from WaterGuy130 and his method worked better than Specular Scale. Thanks for the advice!
