Old Character parts existing after reset, why?

This was being used in a server script, not a localscript, but thanks for the response. As I said I already solved this by checking the Character.Parent which is nil after a reset. I just don’t understand why you have to do this.

If the part’s parent’s parent is nil, then I would not expect it to report a position. Its not in workspace (or server storage or anywhere for that matter)
