OpenCloud feature requests category

Right now we’re posting OpenCloud feature requests in #feature-requests:website-features, which is bad for various reasons, most notably:

  1. OpenCloud features are not website features
  2. OpenCloud feature requests get buried under other website feature requests
  3. OpenCloud is very new and in my opinion needs more attention to evolve, especially because of how limited it currently is
  4. Every other product has its own subcategory, so why mix OpenCloud with the website?

So a new #feature-requests category should be created for feature requests specific to OpenCloud thus making them stand out more.

We’re (still) not currently ready to redo the feature request categorization, it’s okay to put them in #feature-requests:website-features. Internally, all feature requests currently arrive in the same place, so whether it’s in a new subcategory or in an existing one doesn’t actually affect visibility of your post with the current process.

Unfortunately we were not able to action any changes yet on feature requests (as we were heavily focused on bug reports improvements for the past couple years), so this post is still valid: Open Cloud Feature Suggestions - #2 by Hooksmith

I’m sorry to join this thread, but I think that, at some point, the reorganization of the category for Feature Requests should be taken seriously…

It is not clear or professional to let them be outdated. It has been said that every insight goes to the same place, but, if we were to think about this and apply it from now on, we would only use one subcategory for everything, no matter their name. For instance: An FR for UGC Moderation is being posted in #feature-requests:website-features. This would be viewed from two perspectives: The post is in the wrong category, hence it’s not related to feedback about the usage of any website of the Roblox Corporation; Confusing, leading people to question why and create feature requests for the Developer Forum.

I want to apologize in advance if you misinterpreted thinking that this reply is immature. I have no intention of making this sound tough, rude, or anything else similar to this ideology… All of this is my honesty when it comes to improving this aspect of the forum for us, creators… I hope you can understand and, hopefully, this can be addressed properly with good updates.

As stated we were focused on improving bug report processing for the past while, it was a massive endeavor that is only just now coming to a conclusion (as we’re clearing out the join request backlog on AllowBugReports somewhere these weeks).

We are keenly aware of issues around intaking non-bug-report feedback and nothing in your post or posts from other people is new to us. We have limited people and bandwidth to make broad stroke changes to feedback ingestion and bug reports took priority in the past. Thanks for understanding and for your patience.
