Paid Scam Games Abusing Join/Hours/etc. Tracking Features – Fake Functionality, Out-of-TOS Promises

  1. As probably you guys know there are some game that claim to give service that doesnt exist. And Roblox doesnt seem to care at all. The services they claim to give is also out of ToS

  2. What is the issue? Games like the ones below claim to let users:

  • Join any player (claiming to join a player by their username with no permission)
  • Check your playtime/hours across all games
  • Use functionality that requires private data access Roblox doesn’t allow
    etc.

I was curios and bought one of these games access which ofc was a scam. . . They didnt have the

text before. Which was a method scammers used to skip Roblox’s moderation.

Examples:

These games provide zero real functionality and exist purely to mislead and monetize through deceitful gamepasses or Robux donations.

  1. What solutions have you tried so far?
  • Searched Roblox Creator Hub and DevForum and there is NO legitimate API or feature that allows global user joining or hour tracking across games.
  • Verified with Roblox Studio and developer documentation.
  • Reported the games but ofcourse no action has been taken. The lead scammers of these games are still in the platform. . .

There are many games I’ve seen these are just examples

yes, everything is a scam but actually moderation doesnt give a ####, because it doesnt promise “robux” or currency, and well it is the 8 year old brains that think its real maybe moderation could just like lock it, but like all the sussy hangout games THEY ALWAYS COME BACK, and its crazy like ro-bio (with 192 copies) to evade bans.

Well there’s not much you can expect from anyone here either because the majority of people who view this thread are regular users. You basically just wasted your time typing all of that out no offense.

Yeah, on top of my point there used to be a topic about this in Development Discussion however it got closed. So many people have seen this and I’m sure nobody is ACTUALLY falling for these scams unless they’re children. The bio should tell anyone with common sense that the game is a scam!
