Not necessarily, but to an extend you are correct. My frustrations were with the disconnect between the players feet and the deck of the ship. Naturally you sit your feet flat on the deck of an orientating deck. Hence changing your perspective slightly.

The example shown is pretty extreme. I plan to add slipping across the deck and stumbling as a feature to hopefully give that added realism in the future.
