Plain Baseplate but Memory is Very High

My studio and game are using way too much memory for a plain baseplate. It is to the point that the studio camera is lagging which is most likely due to the memory studio is using. I have 32gb of ram so I doubt it is that it has no ram to allocate. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Sadly, everyone has this issue. There is no way to fix it as far as I am aware.

Here is a bug report made way back 5 years ago. The memory usage has gradually increased from ~200 up to 2000.

If 2000 is the normal amount now, any clue as to why my studio camera lags?

Is it lagging when only play testing in studio, or all the time?

Mainly when I am not play testing, but I feel like my FPS is a little lower than it should be still on play test. It’s weird because the studio camera, as in just in edit mode, is the laggiest one.

Hmm. I’m not sure what could be causing this. You could try closing some other applications on your computer to free up computing power.

I have checked task manager and nothing out of the ordinary, other than maybe studio using too much RAM.

What is your FPS in studio? It shouldn’t be that bad.

It doesn’t seem to tell me but I can estimate 10-30 FPS.

The last thing I would recommend is checking that Roblox studio has no newer versions.
Maybe restart your computer?

I have restarted about 3 times and reinstalled studio. I have also updated drivers and windows.

I found a setting in Windows called “Optimizations for windowed games” and turned that setting off. All of the lag is now gone, how ironic.

i cant believe this bro i literally wiped my pc and then came across this :sob: thanks for the solution tho
