Know, however, that this is a bad idea, a channel of your size should not be doing paid promotions. I appreciate your business-sense of this, but some things you cannot just throw money at and expect magic to happen. The only thing you are going to give yourself is more headaches when you see a bunch of fake followers and hardly any viewers. It will dishearten and discourage you in the long run, and also will send bad signals to Twitch/YouTube through their algorithms, seeing hardly anybody tuning in. I urge you to reconsider your plan and go with a better one which would be to grow an organic community without financial support and to make partnerships with games/developers through codes, items in return for playing the games, not in return for their followers. Use this forum to build up these partnerships.
I’m calling it a night here, I will reply to any further enquiries tomorrow.
The reason for TNL declining in popularity is not all about Roblox streaming losing popularity. Every time TNL was on there was a banner at the top of the site saying announcing that The Next Level is on! There were even banners before it started. Maybe it’s my time zone but I haven’t seen that in at least a year.
I agree with alvinbloxx in that you have to grow a following organically, be it a game or a twitch channel. For a personal anecdote: I have made some niche Halloween event remakes. One of my friends wanted to get players into one of them, and since he had admin in a place he did :teleport all to that place.
What ended up happening? Everybody left and rejoined the other game. Even though what OP wants to do is more voluntary for the players, it’ll still be the same. People check it out for 30 seconds, and maybe follow it. They then go right back to what they were doing before, probably forgetting they subbed by the next day,
As a developer though, I’d definitely do that sponsorship (if I had a bigger following!). Seems like easy money! Yum!
Well, this thread exploded. My personal two cents are that you shouldn’t be using your money to essentially buy followers, but I’m not delving into deep grounds here. Not up for a long debate.
These kinds of things should be coordinated personally with developers who willingly want to promote your channel. If no one’s willing, no point. The incentive doesn’t sit well with me either. From a personal perspective, if I wanted to promote a channel, I’d do it myself. If they come to me asking me to promote them, that’s an immediate “no thank you”, regardless of what the aftermath looks like.
Looking for those with decent following: I’m almost willing to guarantee that those with a decent following will not want to promote others except people they’re personally fans of. What benefit does it hold to them to give their viewers to someone else? Answer: none. You also didn’t specify how often this has to be done.
Cosmetic item with a code: First, you could end up paying a non-developer if you don’t process this well. Second, they may not want to shoehorn a cosmetic of your channel into their game - they may not even have a cosmetic or code system. Third, how often can you say you’ve seen a developer accept a sum of money to create you a personal thing? You may see it in a game here or there, but it’s certainly not frequent.
I agree with Alvin. This really will be bad for you in the long run, I’m no youtuber or twitch streamer but I’d advise agains’t this. Just grow a community like Alvin is saying. I also agree with what colbert has said.
I’ll have to also agree with Alvin, rather you should try using that money to perhaps juicing up your current Twitch / Youtube career by getting some extra work done to make your channel look attractive. But I am not here to stop you, do as you wish. (sorry, wrong response channel)
You have a click bait post which could potentially get you banned, if not terminated.
In my honest opinon, nobody really watches Twitch for Roblox content as it is, it would be better if you move your community to Youtube. You can still do livestreams (and get donations via those livestreams) I am aware Youtube takes a small cut of that but if you want more exposure to your content I would move to a bigger platform.
Yeah I used to stream for fun, it’s not that good for roblox. Most top streamers on roblox are botting their viewers. (It looks like it at-least as their chat doesn’t talk at all)
If you want to get big and famous as a media star for Roblox. Your going to have to move to a bigger platform. Nobody really watches twitch unless it’s IRL or Fortnite. Moving to Youtube would be better in the long run, more views, more exposure to content, move legitimate followers, can still livestream and receive donations, and won’t get your account banned by posting clickbait twitchstream links.
I always wanted to make some tutorials on how to to make models or builds, but it’s not so easy to teach someone to build though because you’ve got to be creative enough, in my opinion. It’s just like being an artist I can teach someone how to use the tools and show them how I build something but it’s no good if they can’t do it themselves. Though there are some tips and tricks that can be of use to starters I guess, which can benefit them when starting out.
