P.C. Devlog #1 ┃ Introduction
Hello everyone,
I’m TheZanderius, introducing Project Countdown
Project countdown is an escape room game where each room contains aspects of different phobias.
“What does that even mean?”
Each escape room will be based on a certain type of phobia. For example, a room that is centered around nyctophobia (the fear of darkness) requires you to experience the phobia while trying to beat the room.
The game itself takes place in the future at a fictional research center called Countdown Research Industries (CRI for short), specifically at the Premier Facility. CRI has been researching neurobiology, particularly phobias. They have been testing on test subjects, one of those being our player.
During these tests, CRI exposes their subjects to a situation where this phobia is present, typically significant in the situation, and analyses how they react. The company chose an escape room for their testing because of the time pressure and how you would need to face these phobias directly.
Upon completing the room, you will be rewarded with a random “set”. Sets contain randomly chosen cosmetics of different rarities which you can use to show off to your friends or trade with other players. The value of each cosmetic is driven by the rarity it possesses; if a cosmetic is likely to be pulled from a set, it will be less valuable and vice versa. Each cosmetic has no advantage in-game and is strictly cosmetical.

This is where the leaderboards are. Here you will be able to view the global leaderboards.
This is the inside of the leaderboards building,
- Survivals lists the people with the most amount of completions.
- Time is a list of players with the most amount of playtime.
- Fastest contains the players with the shortest average time taken to complete a room.
-
Server shows the people within the server and their respective wins.
A bridge to take you to spawn…
…leading to somewhere special
This area is where you will check your personal stats. These have yet to be determined.
