Publishing to a team create place does not overwrite place

steps:

Exit, along with any other team members, a team create place
Shut down all servers on team create place
Open saved local place file
Choose publish to and publish to the team create place

Expected behaviour:
The team create place opens and has been overwritten with the save file used

Actual behaviour:
The team create place opens and has not been changed

Attempted 3 times in short succession, then an additional time 3 hours after the last person left the team create place.

Well… thats weird, i thought roblox solved this today.

Are you sure this is still happening? I haven’t had time to test if it was fixed or not.

Yep, sure. Updated OP to include note of multiple attempts.

I encountered this today and can confirm it’s still not possible to overwrite a team create place, even if it’s empty, shutdown, migrated to latest, etc.

The only workaround is to open the place and “Disable Team Create” from the “…” menu in the bottom right corner of the Team Create - Beta panel in Studio. Then save/publish over it, then re-open and re-enable Team Create.

This also happens when studio returns a “Published Failed” error. Consecutive publishing will make studio think it went through but in reality, it did not. Also on team create. Just had this happen to me.
