R6 VR version 3 (but not really)

I saw this in other games, I think it’s a roblox bug. Do you use Oculus Quest 2?

I do use the quest 2, insert text here to fill minimum text

Did you ever figure the problem out, is it something to do with the blink system?

nope sorry… after messing around with a bunch of settings, it still didn’t fix anything (i didn’t go to deep in the scripts though cuz I barely understand what the code meant), so I’ve resorted to waiting for is a response from the developer of the model, since he seems to be the only one who knows how his model actually works (at least in this conversation).

ok so I’m having a problem with this
it was saying I had to use R15 for some reason. I checked what I was using. I was using this VR thing not the nexus one. It was still failing to load in me as in as VR
and sometimes it just wont load me in AS vr. everything is in the right place. I honestly don’t know what’s happening. and also when I changed it to r15 IT WAS SOME HOW WORKING. as r15. and then when I stopped and played it again it stopped working
I switched it back to r6. STILL NOT WORKING but it was no longer saying I had to use r15.
I’m so confused

How do you get the VR system running? I’ve tried everything:

  • Putting VRAttachment script into ServerScriptService without using the mainmodule
  • Putting VRAttachment script into ServerScriptService and use the mainmodule under VRAttachment script

Neither of the above didn’t work, Did either Roblox break it? Or am I just doing something wrong?

Is there anyway i can turn off cancollide for the humanoidrootpart? Theres a script inside of it that keeps turning it on.

This is not because of a script player humanoidrootparts cancollide will be changed back by roblox
instead use collision groups

Hm… ill check it out later since im not in the mood for vr since im sick. But is there any sort of error? Or is it loading? Or is it just a bug? If im gonna be honest ill still check it out later, but I its roblox updates.

If your using force r6 that is another reason why it aint working.

But ill check it out when i get home from the hospital.

So it gives all notices of loading, we’re not forcing r6, but it just isn’t activating, and the players head and torso just falls to the ground on loading.

might be roblox updates. I have no idea really.

For those who have issues with the VR script, the VR module script doesn’t seem to support TextChatService. Use LegacyChatService as that fixed the loading issue for me.

Thank you so much! It really is nice to know what was breaking it, but can the module be modified to work with the new TextChatService? I’ll see if I can find anything.

You can close the chat by Pressing the “Y” button on your left controller.
