Release Notes for 682

Release 682 has landed! Unwrap the goodness and, in honor of National Hot Dog Day (July 16), feel free to also post your favorite hot dog: Keeping it simple with just mustard? Piling on cheese? Spicing it up with chili or jalapeños? Something else entirely?

Oh, and here’s the goodness on 682: :grinning:

I love it when changes that we would never notice are exposed to us.

Another day, another You can now visualize WrapTarget cage mesh vertices before and after deformation with WrapDeformer. By default, visualization shows post-deformation vertices, but the new debug visualization setting Enum.WrapTargetDebugMode.PreWrapDeformerCage lets you view the WrapTarget cage vertices prior to deformation.

this bug has been present for like 18 years of this game’s existence literally how did they just notice LOL

A weird bug has happened with our game since this update. Its with its viewmodels. The viewmodel is parented to the camera. We never had this issue before and it happened without the game updating so we know its not us that broke anything

And yes we have tried messing with the massless, canCollide, canQuery and unanchored properties

Interested to see what improvements this provides to CrazyTracer when it goes live since it requires no change to my code.

Ooh, now I’m actually excited to see the difference. Anyways, performance improvements are always great to see in release notes

Mustard and Sauerkraut is surprisingly good on Nathan’s (the ONLY hotdog I’ll eat besides maybe hebrew national)

We love performance updates :sunglasses:

thisll be great for a project im working on

rn its rlly slow since its a path tracer im working on, which is using several 10s of millions of raycasts. this api speed up is gonna help a lot with the cpu load

Anyone have the old script editor colors somewhere? These new ones hurt my eyes and I want the old ones back.
