Once again, another WHYI_MFAT resource. Here we go. (Also this is not the correct topic for this post)
First off, this plugin is not useful at all since you can do the same stuff with more customization options with the string library.
And 100 Robux? For this plugin? I would rather buy other plugins than buy a plugin that I can easily replicate with Sleitnick’s TableUtil module.
I don’t see why people would use this Plugin when there are other resources that Developers can easily use to replicate this effect?
You need to consider what Developers actually need, or for topics that don’t have their own resources for it. Make sure that your idea isn’t something that other Developers already created, or at least do a revamp to make it have more features than the original resource.
But nothing much changed, and 100 Robux? Seems way too overpriced for this…
It should rather be free, and your exemple is how to say it a bit too simple so for now your plugin is 100% useless :
local text = "something"
print("Hi, there is "..game.Players.LocalPlayer.Name..", in the server and the text is : "..text)
I hope that was helpful and have a nice day !
its not only this simple things, there is things are much more complicated and it shortens the way I also work on things even more complicated than there are.
What do you mean some things are more complicated?
Luau has introduced a new string formatting method without even requiring string.format()
.
print(`Hi, {game.Players.LocalPlayer.Name}! There is {#game.Players:GetChildren()} players in the server.`)
This is simpler than requiring the module every single time in a script, adding the string I want to add in the module, and then calling the method that returns the formatted message. Not even going to mention that this is 100 Robux.
No one is going to use this module. Please stop creating resources that are poorly made and pointless.
Me when:
local a = "Hello $P"
print( a:gsub("$P","Synitx") )
print(string.format("Hi %s, there are %s players in the server. Text is %s.", game.Players.LocalPlayer.Name, #game.Players:GetPlayers(), "hi"))
What’s the use case for this plugin? Why is it 100 Robux? What can we use it for?
I’m sure you could do some really cool stuff if you put your mind to it.
But you gotta stop making resources for things that already exist that cost money (and sometimes don’t work).
This happened with the whole AI thing, you got upset at everyone after they pointed out the lack of filtering and then proceeded to not fix it even though you were asking for feedback
Here we go again - another one of your “resources” - how long until this one is taken offline because you cant handle negative feedback?
I decided to buy it just to have a look at the code, because it doesn’t really matter.
I’m not sure why you have all of the self variables which contain hardly useful information here, it’s just bloating the module.
Anyways, it looks like :Txt is exactly what everybody else is saying. Just a simple gsub call which has no use at all.
I’m not sure why you thought anybody would find this useful, let alone charging 100 Robux for it. The code is messy and is just a gsub call but a lot slower, and a lot of bloat via random variables which I would have never seen a use for. I can’t imagine ever saying “I really need the player’s fps, game creator ID, and info about the server all in the same string, I wish somebody made something for this”
I know I won’t be getting my money back, so I suggest nobody else spends money on this.
100 Robux it’s less than 1$
I’m sorry, but regardless of the price in real-life money, it still doesn’t change the fact that there are free resources which are released by DevForum developers, all which does the same thing as your Plugin, or are even written cleaner than your current code.
The purpose of creating something under #help-and-feedback:creations-feedback is to get feedback to improve in the end, whether positive or about aspects that needs to be improved.
Arguing against all “non-positive” feedbacks defeats the purpose of opening a public DevForum topic. Please, take the time to think through carefully what Developers would actually like to use, instead of basically ignoring other’s feedback for your own convenience.
i feel like you’re just talking back just to get ratio’d on devforum a billion times
He’s done this 20+ times now, they all end up getting taken down. I don’t know how he’s not suspended yet.
