Does it feel weird that it took Roblox’s 8 years to remove the feature entirely? I knew for a fact that the point system was still a thing considering a lot of old or broken down games still let you earn player points at the time when it first became popular. Oh well, it was a simple feature not saying it was much of a use to begin with anyways. R.I.P Player Points.
The only use for those points was to get you on a leaderboard; you couldn’t spend them or use them for anything else.
I’ve remade PointsService
Feel free to use!
no!! anything but the least used feature since 2016!!!
If you read the whole post, you would have saw that the OP made this already. Unless, this provides more methods or reliability?
I guess I haven’t really read it thoroughly. I just thought the module above moved your points into a datastore. Oh well, it’s there if anyone wants to use it.
Discovered another problem. Negative point awards are valid for deducting points from a user. I’m not sure if the total is allowed to go below zero, probably something that should be checked on the C#/C++ side of things, but this should be corrected too @dragonknightflies
I think he was joking man
just saying.
Is this the same player points system that the 2014 summer games centered around? I’m surprised it survived for nearly 10 years.
I tried filling out the form just now, but it says that the survey is no longer active. I thought we had until the 31st?
Same here, it says that the form is not active.
I have been playing The Doom Wall 2: Burst, a game that was featured in the 2018 roblox summer event. It happens to still use the point system and I’ll be sad to see it go.
You could use and spend them. Loads of games have them as currencies, which is why so many people are objecting tothis.
Pretty positive this is that.
Iirc the last functionality to use them onsite was removed in 2017/2018.
