Rewards through Liking/Favoriting/Invites

Is there a way to check if someone liked the game or Favorited through a script? I see nothing about it anywhere. Also wanted to know if there’s a way to check if someone invited their friends to the game and a way to make a list of friends they invited so they cant spam invites for multiple rewards

Please look around the DevForums. There was already a post related here. This can help you out for the Likes/Favorites concerns. What do you mean by invites?

How is this invite system going to work?

Say you invited some friends, a OnPlayerAdded event would confirm if an invited friend joined the game resulting in the player getting a cash reward in game something like that

You could check if a player who joined has the FollowUserId of the player who said they would invite them. For “inviting” them, you’d just have to make a UI or something where you say you’ll invite them or do it for anyone who follows the player.

Roblox has a new built in feature in ESC menu that lets you invite friends to games

Rewarding players for liking or faving your game isn’t possible and is probably against the rules.

See this line from the Roblox Community Rules:

Do not create promotions offering prizes of any sort (including contests, raffles, lotteries, chain letters or any kind of giveaway). It is okay to offer players promo codes for in-game items only so long as they are not in exchange for something (e.g., in exchange for a thumb up on your game).

Ohh ok thats fine the friend referral would be the same thing i’m guessing? not allowed in exchange for in game currency or something

As mentioned, giving a player a reward for liking & favoriting your game is not allowed. However, you can give them awards if a player joins via FollowUserId.

Alright good to know thanks

This isn’t possible and it would be a bad system to have anyway. Why would you reward people for giving your game a thumbs up or a favourite? This is positive rating bating. Take the feedback system seriously rather than using it to give perks to people.

Likes and dislikes may not be in your control or representative of the enjoyment of your game, but other stats of your game are helpful to both you, your community and players who take a brief look at your game details page rather than critically assess your game.

You can give rewards for those who follow you, that isn’t so much rate bating. That’s available through FollowUserId as mentioned somewhere above. But if you’re offering rewards, ensure they fall within the Terms of Service and don’t bait any kind of boost of stats for your game.

this might be able to be used for rewarding invites, if it’s allowed on roblox
