RIP people with different Keyboard layout

That doesn’t happen anymore.
Moving my character still uses the same keys as before this bug.
(in my case, QSDZ, which would be ASDW for (US) QWERTY)

I second what @einsteinK said. What used to be AZ is now QW. M is ; , and all of the number row keys have changed.

Whatever happened, it also messed with my nordic keyboard. I can now activate the chat by pressing -, right next to the right shift key.

My plus key “moved” on key to the right and I almost couldn’t find the question mark. :frowning:

EDIT:
Ugh, “Print Screen” now acts as a “=”. Woohoo.

Oh, don\t we all love US keyboard layouts >\C *wow, I tried to make a sad smiley there( welp ./.!!!

^ example of attempt on chatting in-game. RIP. Even the chat hotkey has changed!

I’ll look into this asap and report back. Out of curiosity, does pressing return on the leave game screen in the menu leave the game? Or do you have to click the button?

This issue is across all games that I played (a fair bit), the player movement seems to be ok for me.

Edit: It doesn’t leave the menu when I press return (on either an AZERTY or QWERTY keyboard)

It leaves for me on QWERTY

This is for windows and not mac, is that correct?

I have Windows 10.

Forgot to mention, I have Windows 10 too.

Oh, I’m on mac, :frowning:

We’ve identified the issue and will be fixing shortly. Thanks for the reports!

Yes, problem is fix (win10).

Thanks <3

Fixed

still has to press shift+7 to chat

yeah, unfortunately right now chat uses a special key system that will use ‘/’ always, and takes into account your keyboard layout. Ideally we could change this to just say what key your keyboard has in the ‘/’ key position on a US QWERTY keyboard.

Someday kb/mouse input will be awesome I swear.

This is either still an issue or has come up again.

I got used to pressing the key that contains ‘/’.
It’s actually a combined key of ‘:’ and ‘/’ when pressing shift.
As a result, whenever I want to chat, I press shift+: (that results in /).
Since some time, that one key now also rotates the camera.
So everytime I start to chat, my camera rotates X degrees clockwise… not too much fun

But since a week or so, studio’s camera now uses the right keys. Yeuy!

I have the same issue with the rotating camera. And while it is nice the hotkeys for Studio camera are now correct, I had gotten used to the “inverse” hotkeys after all these years. Took a long time to adapt, and still haven’t, really
