Roblox crashes upon joining some games

I’ve just got my new laptop and was setting up to continue my development. However, upon joining my own game and other games that I have played, Roblox crashes itself and closes the app without any error code. Additionally, when i tried to join my other game, it works normally. I am not sure if it is my laptop’s issue or Roblox issue.

EDIT:
When I went into Studio for my game (Fayton), my studio crashes as well.

UPDATE: I was able to join once but after that I could not join anymore.

The game that allows me to join and play normally:

This is the screen recording of what happens:

System Information:
Computer - Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Aura Edition
Processor - Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 7 258V 2.20 GHz
Installed RAM - 32.0 GB (31.5 GB usable)
System type - 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Window Edition - Windows 11 Home
Window Version - 24H2

Browser Information:
I’ve looked up Roblox Forum for similar bugs and have came across Hyperion Crash. I’ve seen all the strategies and method to help but I’m afraid that this is not Hyperion Crash and would not want to execute any of the methods but rather would like to be advised on.
I’ve also tried reinstalling Roblox and clear the caches but it does not seem to work. Additionally, since my laptop is relatively new, all my software updates are pretty much up-to-date.
Other than that the rest were bugs with different laptop/PC brands, so I am not sure if it would work with my Lenovo laptop.

Expected behavior

Definitely being able to join every game in Roblox without crashing the Roblox app itself.

I definetly think it’s due to the roblox launcher’s latest issues. It’s stopped now but for some time i had to rejoin a game 3+ times due to it crashing, when i have a really good pc.

I believe the issue is that Roblox player and Studio are crashing when you join any game with Future Lighting Technology, and I’ve been able to replicate this bug (I’m also facing the same issue as you on my new laptop). This bug doesn’t occur on my desktop PC, strangely, so I believe it’s specifically affecting new devices.

I can’t find a single workaround for the Roblox Player problem, but in Studio, if you enable the Unified Lighting Beta and use Vulkan graphics rendering, it allows me to continue development as normal. This should hopefully work on your device.

Frankly, I’m just relieved that I’m not the only person experiencing this issue. I’ve had this problem for over 2 weeks.

That sounds about right actually because the game I can join is not using Future Lighting Technology. Roblox should really look into this and fix this bug.
EDIT: Thanks for the suggestion btw, will try it out and let you know if it works on my device.

A bit late here but it works! Thanks for the workaround, I can finally dev. However, like what you said, my Roblox is still affected.
