For the past 4-5 weeks, maybe more than a month, I don’t remember, I’ve had this issue where the private servers are not loading.
This also causes the servers with friends in not to show up on the homepage of an experience.
At first I thought it’s a temporary issue. After a while, I reset my cookies & cache, but this didn’t fix the issue. I tried different browsers and accounts and this still occurs. I don’t know what the issue is but it is getting very annoying sometimes, because I prefer playing in private servers over public servers, and most of the times I spend about one minute of refreshing.
It’s also very inconvenient, because when I need to make sure I publish an update on my experience, I test it quickly in a private server to make sure everything is published, and most of the times I can’t do that because my private servers list won’t load.
I’m not using any extension so that’s also not a reason why this happens.
Can you attach screenshots of any red text you see in the console log when pressing ‘Refresh’ on private servers? This can be opened via Ctrl + Shift + I on most browsers.
yeah I know, just didn’t think they might need this since the bug is easy to reproduce and happens more often than private servers load, but I will attach it anyways. hopefully this can help them
I’m not using any VPNs for Roblox. So that can’t be the issue
A lot of my friends and people in other servers are dealing with this issue. Most likely not intended to get rate limited this fast by just clicking on the “profile” page of an exprience. Not sure if this has anything to do with the amount of games shown at once on the home page before accessing the experience’s page, but I’m sure it’s not intended to get rate limited this fast.
This happens as a result of rate-limits when querying private servers (usually only when you have a significant number of friends with private servers), simple fix would be extending the amount of requests that can be sent to that API or providing users with a warning message stating the API was rate limited + not erasing previously loaded private servers like it does whenever an error occurs (such as the rate limit).
