you need to be 18+ to attend the in person event, however you can attend virtually at any age

I believe it’s actually typical for it to be announced in March every year. I’m not entirely sure why, but my guess is that they day they announce lines up with the same day they start preparing for the first wave of invites that occur after the next few months following March.
The time length of a couple months would make sense to me considering how many people they have to go through to curate invitees.
If anyone knows the real reason it’s typically March though, feel free to let me know.
