Description of bug
Turning showdevelopmentgui on/off does not hide the contents of starterGui.
How often does the bug happen (Everytime/sometimes/rarely)?
100% of the time
What are the steps that reproduce the bug?
Add some guis to startergui, turn off the showdevelopmentgui property of startergui, the guis are not hidden
Where does the bug happen? Is it level-specific? Is it game specific? Please post a link to the place that exhibits the issue.
Studio, most recent version, any place(?)
Would a screenshot or video help describe it to someone? If so, post one.
When did the bug start happening? If we can tie it to a specific release that helps us figure out what we broke.

Interesting note: while the GUI does not end up hidden, it does rearrange some of the contents?

I’m not able to reproduce this locally, is there anything else I need to do to reproduce it?
Do you happen to have buildthomas’ UI Editor Toggle plugin installed?
The plugin could be what is causing the issue, as it modifies the behavior of ShowDevelopmentGui.

i do have that installed! let me uninstall and see if it fixes the issue.

It’s not so much an issue, it’s a feature of the plugin 
Check the thread for how you can bind a hotkey to hide the UI on top of that plugin’s functionality.

yeah uninstalling the plugin fixed the issue!
