In the video above, I have created what I would like to say is a pretty clean and up to speed character controller. While its not perfect, and by no means ready to be added to anything. I still feel like the core concept is there.
This 3rd person you’ve made looks great! Good job on it! How long did it take for you to create this 3rd person camera? Will you use this in anything? It’s unique for Roblox!
It took about a day to create. I don’t have anything in particularly in mind yet for it yet, as I’m better at making other peoples ideas, rather than making the ideas myself.
You found me
Yes I do post a lot in development servers, and have even won events in some of them. I tend to just try and get feedback a lot though, not really in it for clout. My goal is to master everything and im pretty much getting there.
i started programming on roblox since 2020 and still today i want to be the best at making innovative creations but mostly making FPS games. im doing my first fps project from scratch and i hope i will finish it. maybe i will reach your skills some day
I always here people says “reach my skill” and honestly I don’t even believe I am that crazy in the studio. The only thing I can give as a tip, is the difference between average and good is in the details. Everyone always harps on me about why I do so many boring details, and its because it does make all the difference.
details is what i mostly love, because since i was 2 (when i played my first videogame) i liked how small details of the real world could make the game immersive, and thats my objective: making the most ORIGINAL and IMMERSIVE creation (like Valve, i want to do something people have never seen). i want to make career with my projects but im only 15 and i have alot of road to do
Shoot I am only 18, don’t let age be your killer of your career. I have been told many times, and still have people to this day say I won’t amount to anything. I always laugh, and remind them that my career has already been launched far past what I thought capeable. I have worked on huge games like Short Creepy Stories which before it was taken down, had 280m visits at the time. Then I swapped off that team and sold assets until I couldn’t because I made so much I had to fill out a tax form to continue. “I was 16 so I wasn’t allowed by my parents to continue”, so here I am polishing up on my work.
thats a pretty cool story, my career started a year ago which i made 2K robux for a single project but i quitted because where i live Roblox is a child game and i was embarassed saying to my friends i make roblox games. im still embarassed today but this is what i like to do. i hope someday i will make enough money to prove my friends and other people of what im capable of. is pretty stupid but i want to build a name like how you did with Short Creepy Stories.
I had the same fear all the way up til last year, however the profit I made off of short creepy stories, and then everyone was in awe. Roblox can be a kid game, however if you work hard enough you can make some serious stuff. After all roblox is just an engine.
Second, the same might apply to the smoothed shiftlock—though I’m not entirely sure.
Third, if I’m correct, the only thing you created yourself is the lighting, assuming it wasn’t taken from the toolbox by searching for “realistic lighting.”
Also, the hand and leg movements are uncoordinated, making the character look as if they were drunk.
Everything used is mentioned in a server script named credits in the workspace.
Second of all, everything I have used is also edited to my fitting.
The smooth-shift lock is not taken from the toolbox neither.
The hand and leg movements are suppose to be uncoordinated for the cartoony effect, its not shooting for realism.
While I appreciate the response, I do give credit in the workspace itself.
