Information below outlines and describes rank descriptions in the branch of the Security Bureau that you may achieve during your career at Starfleet Security. Outlined below are the roles, duties and specifications for each career. If you need clarification, contact an officer on our communications server.
𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 ⟶ Rank information below is only applied to the Security Bureau. If you are in the generalized rank structure of Starfleet, these advanced clearance levels do not apply to you. These descriptions break down the structure of the Security Bureau.
𝗘𝗡𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬: Starfleet Command.

𝘿𝙐𝙏𝙄𝙀𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝙎𝙀𝘾𝙐𝙍𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙊𝙉𝙉𝙀𝙇:
⟶ Assist in preserving the integrity of the ship or facility during intrusion.
⟶ Provide protection for landing particles entering hazardous territory.
⟶ To ensure the safety of visiting dignitaries.
⟶ To ensure the integrity of restricted areas of the ship against entry by unauthorized personnel.
⟶ To oversee transfer and/or confinement of persons under legal arrest or in custody.
⟶ To effectively intervene in crew disputes, or in disputes between crew members and civilians.
⟶ To provide a first-line strike force for boarding hostile vessels.
⟶ To maintain alertness at post or duties until such time as relieved by qualified personnel.
⟶ 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗕𝟭: 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦
(𝗦𝗙) 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥: Person(s) who receive this role are a registered member of the Special Forces division of the Starfleet Security Bureau. Person(s) will receive this rank in the Security Bureau until they reach the officer level of the SSF, which starts at Sergeant. Once a Sergeant, person(s) will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in the SB and main group.
(𝗙𝗣) 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔 𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗧: Person(s) who receive this role are a registered member of the Alita Class Fighter Wing division of the Starfleet Security Bureau. Person(s) will receive this rank in the Security Bureau until they reach the officer level of the ACFW, which starts at Senior Fighter Pilot. Once a Senior Fighter Pilot, person(s) will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in the SB and main group.
⟶ 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝟮: 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦
⟶ (𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚)
(𝗢𝟭) 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥: Person(s) promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer have successfully completed the Starfleet Command Training Program and are ready to enter the Duty Officer class and embody a leader on the field.
⟶ 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝟭: 𝗦𝗕 𝗗𝗨𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦
(𝗢𝟮) 𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗧: Person(s) promoted to the rank of Lieutenant are entrusted with the ability to lead, command and analyze in the event of emergencies. Lieutenants are permitted to take command of a squadron of security bureau personnel and officers, and may be relieved to join the squadron if a higher ranking officer enters the server and takes charge of the operation. Lieutenants are to act within Military Guidelines procedures at all times.
(𝗢𝟯) 𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: Person(s) promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander are entrusted with the wellbeing, training aid, command and analyzation of security tactics to ensure proper security measures are taken in the event of emergencies. Lieutenant-Commanders are permitted to take command of a squadron of security bureau personnel and officers, and may be relieved to join the squadron if a higher ranking officer enters the server and takes charge of the operation.
(𝗢𝟰) 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: Person(s) promoted to the rank of Commander are entrusted with the wellbeing, smooth operating and training leadership of the security bureau and its members. Commander(s) are entrusted with the smooth operating security of facilities and starships, and are expected to enforce the principles of the Prime Directive and Military Guidelines at all times.
(𝗢𝟱) 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡: Person(s) promoted to the rank of Captain command platoons of security personnel spanning across multiple sectors of the known universe. Security Bureau Captains aid the Deputy Chief of the Security Bureau and assist in administrational assignments, training and documentation of external and internal threats; review and analyze tactical schematics and other classified items.
