One of the finest updates ever. Can’t wait to use this in live places
Robots with glowing lights, dragons with glowing eyes… this is gonna be awesome
I like it so far, but I’m curious, will they actually emit light, just like global illumination?
I would imagine it’s like the neon material… It has bloom but doesn’t emit much light.

FINALLY (im lowkey not gonna use it because i dont make textures)
YEAAAAAAAAAAAH THAT’S WHAT I WANNA SEE
Gonna be fun playing around with these getting the hang of it in preparations for client release, good job rendering team!
YESSSS!!! Robloxbros.. we won
Amazing feature! Though I hope in the future decals will get the same treatment.
iFINALLY.
Thank you so much for beta releasing this! This has needed for a long time to help the platform catch up a bit with the rest of the industry.
Oh, this would be amazing. Is there a rough ETA for when we can expect this?
Basically, you can just draw where you want the glow to be and make it have multiple colors without needing separate neon meshes, and as a bonus it can be less or more glowy than neon if you want
been a while but we finally got it
EXCELLENT.
Now I’m just waiting for the 4K textures.
And if it’s not too much to ask, more PBR maps such as ambient occlusion and height maps.
Flat shaded materials are now possible
Made an 2022 Material pack for anyone’s interested

(there’s also PBR version in description)
Rendering team I pray to you; give us UI glow/shadow, I despise using images and/or multiple UIStrokes to imitate the effect.
Its just wooooow
! Im really happy that I don’t have to create separate objects to apply the neon shader to them. Now I can create everything on one mesh and dynamically where I want without dividing the mesh into parts!!! I think if this update comes out, I should add a new texture map to my template in Substance Painter:
Thank you to the Roblox team
!
Emissive maps WOAH!!!
NOT THAT I Dont really have a use for it but
Absolute… Cinema…
Hooray! This’ll be really nice for making flat-shaded areas. Been trying to replicate early 2000s styled assets and maps and this will surely make that an easier process!
