Surface Property Gone?

When going to roblox studio, I wanted to make a nice stud obby game. I went into the part’s properties, and found that the surface property disappeared! I knew that I could just use the surface placer and place studs on the part, but I wanted to come to devforum to ask why you guys think that roblox got rid of the surface property on parts. Is it just me?

The Surface section in properties only appears 1 or more faces of a part is not smooth.

workspace.Part.TopSurface = Enum.SurfaceType.Universal

Though Crystalkammy’s link was a little less than helpful, she is right that it has been answered before. A quick search on the forum found this.

Can't find Surface anymore in properties

I believe it is the new Surface changes that Roblox made a week ago. They are now officially deprecated and unsupported. The reasoning why can be seen on the source thread. It probably won’t be removed entirely, but you will need to go through a few hoops to make it work as usual. At that point I would opt to just use a decal or surface image. Source:
