This potential bug is related to game settings not being accurate. Yesterday, the game I am working on started having issues, specifically in the avatar R6/R15 section of the game settings. The game always forces me into R15, no matter what setting I choose. There are only three options, which I tried all of, but nothing seems to make the game switch to R6.
I encountered this problem yesterday. I uninstalled Roblox Studio, and the first time I opened it after reinstalling, it loads the correct R6. However, if I stop the game and start it again, it always switches back to R15. Every time I reset my character, it also switches back to R6.
There is no visual issue since it doesn’t affect scripts or anything. However, every time I join the game to test, it forces me into R15. If I try to start a team test, though, it always works fine and puts me in R6.
I found this on the Dev Forum: Keeps spawning in R15 in Studio despite R6 settings. It seems that some other people have the same problem as I do, and it started happening to all of us around 10 days ago, give or take.
It started when I tried to ‘Publish a Game As’ because I forgot to enable team collaboration on the original file. I duplicated the game using the ‘Save As’ feature in Roblox Studio. After that, an auto-save failure error popped up when I restarted Studio. I clicked ‘Delete Auto-Save,’ and the error disappeared. Around this time, the R15 bug started happening.
Expected behavior
What I want is pretty simple: I want the game to put me in R6 if my game setting is set to R6, and in R15 if my game setting is set to R15. Right now, it’s either completely stuck in R15 or R6.
