Yeah, so all of a sudden a large chunk of my players get this error message when trying to play my game. I haven’t changed anything in awhile, what could have happened?
Make sure that it is not friends only. Also is your game on Experimental Mode? The update is out and will prevent people that aren’t in your friends list from playing, as well as users that are below the age of 13.
Well there is still about 450 players right now, I only have 12 friends? It does say that it is experimental mode, but it shouldn’t be since everything is fe?
Just updated my post I mentioned that 13+ players can play.
I guess this is another issue then. How do I make the game non-experimental mode? Every place is FE…?
There must be another issue because if your game has FE enabled then it’s not Experimental Mode.
Just checked your game and I was able to play it. Can you double check that FE is on? If yes, go to the Develop page and find the game and see if it has the orange Experimental Mode tag. If it does and you have enabled FilteringEnabled, join the game.
It is definitely FE on all places. I played it myself, but still marks it as experimental mode…
The main place is probably not which is what makes this issue. Open your main place on Studio and then simply click the Game Settings button which you will find in the VIEW tab or something and then select the Off option for experimental mode and join the game.
Can’t think what else this could be.
Anyone know what’s going on?
Probably caused by this issue. All created games need to be joined for them to be registered as filtered, and once a non-FE place is added as a created place, it’s never possible for it to be converted to FE.
Wow. So for the time being it’s unfixable?
Yes. Send an email to devrelations@roblox.com about this though – they may be able to work with engineering to address the problem.
alright thanks, dang this is crazy and needs to be fixed…
The error message has been updated to display the correct messaging. Thank you for helping us report this issue to engineering.
For the CreatePlaceAsync issue - we’ll be contacting you later this week with more information.
