There is no setting to turn off the new Captures button

Went to test my new game (it’s still privated if that means anything for the bug report) and I have the new Captures button on my screen that I can’t disable. Some of my friends have a button that allows them to disable the button, but for some reason I’m stuck with it.

Earlier I took a screenshot in Doors for the new Haunt event, and the next time I joined my own game is when I saw this (I deleted my earlier screenshot before taking a picture of my settings).

Okay, so this isn’t really a bug but rather just really poor UX; the Captures feature can only be disabled in the client via opening the hamburger menu in the top-bar and clicking ‘Captures’.

In Studio, there is also a switch to enable / disable Captures in the escape menu but it appears to be a disabled element (at least for me) making it unclickable, this part appears to be a bug.

It can be toggled in the hamburger menu, but it’s supposed to be disabled by default. There was a bug with The Haunt event’s Captures integration that made it enabled by default for some people.

this has been resolved as of yesterday evening. thank you so much for reporting!

its missing from hamburger menu and captures menu too now so you cant get rid of captures on mobile, additionally voicechat is forced on now? i dont want it to be on but i wanna keep my account linked to my phone

Hey this is related to a separate issue: "Captures" CoreGUI gets disabled when enabling "Chat" CoreGUI in new updated experience controls

The experience controls team should have a fix out within the next release.
