I understand why he makes buyers pay first. Watermarks can easily be removed with any editing software.
To many people including me, 50 Robux is a lot. I wouldnât like to get scammed out of any amount.
Just because he might not scam some people doesnât mean he might not scam others.
istg im not scamming i like doing logos lol
and yes, 50 robux is a lot.
if you donât really trust me, I probably can watermark it and send it to you and remove the watermark once you pay. iâll remove payment first on my tos on my new comms sheet
- if they are scammers and they canât photoshop watermarks out, theyâll end up blocking me without paying and i have an unpaid logo lying around.
hi fellow debators, what if i just erase half the logo until they pay fully? this wont solve it if they are actually scammers and they dont want to pay it and they will block me and i will have an unpaid logo lying around. but it does solve people who will photoshop watermarks out?
thanks

Just send a watermark piece of the work until the customer pays you. Donât send hate on this guy, you donât know if he scams people, just wait until he get flagged if your worried about it. Secondly, heâ's doing these for 50R$, which is not a lot for a logo.
That would be a cool idea but I donât think you should do it as the commissioner might want to see the full logo before they pay. I would just add a watermark and once they have paid remove the watermark and send it to them.
Watermarks can be easily photoshopped out.
They might think Iâm scamming because I donât put many examples on my dev forums post.
What you could do is pixelate half of the logo so it is unusable but they can still see roughly what it looks like before they have paid and then once they have paid you could send the unpixelated version.
What if they are actually trying to scam me but once they see they canât use the logo, theyâll end up blocking me and not paying for the logo?
That happens a lot, it is unfortunate however you canât really do much about that.
Payment first solves that part but not the part where people who arenât actually trying to scam you not believe you.
My friend suggested 50% down payment, but thatâs kind of the same as payment first.
and the worst part is my friend who i told this thread about says im screwed and people think im a scammer lol
Just because he might not scam some people doesnât mean he might not scam others.
If you donât want to order from THIS type of a concern, you donât have to - if heâs able to find other commissioners that will take the âriskâ and get their products while the person holds a devforum portfolio I donât see the problem. He is in power [as the service] and I appreciate the steps he is taking. Just because you are worried doesnât mean he has to change it for you, as heâs able to get many others that do trust him because he wants to keep his own time and effort making logos safe knowing he will get fairly paid on his own standards.
Also, my point stands, if he scams anybody his credibility will get flagged instantly and people wonât order from him.
I know that and I never said I wanted him to. Iâm just trying to help him.
From a commisionerâs POV, I can tell why you think Iâm scamming.
Itâs because of my payment first terms of service.
And to put more salt on the wound, I only have 3 logo examples on this dev forums post. not on twitter tho.
Iâm sorry but a lot of these âcritiquesâ towards him are SO condescending and doesnât need to happen, donât nitpick and be appreciative, just WAIT until he gets other orders done.
Also, my point stands, if he scams anybody his credibility will get flagged instantly and people wonât order from him.
what if i delete this post and make a new one with a new commissions sheet?
Yes I would do that since people turned a payment concern into a patronizing mess and now the wall is littered
Also do you do refunds for people who are not satisfied with your logo? [if they donât like the final product, and donât have it yet] I would recommend doing that since 100% payment first is a requirement
