Roblox is taking action. Reporting takes two clicks, and there isn’t even a rate limit. You click the 3 dots next to the bundles, then click “Report Item,” and your report is successfully sent. It’s clearly effective if you look at the heads that have been deleted.
I mentioned a much more effective way than just replying and complaining on the DevForum. You can directly report it to the channel where moderation teams will review it—no deep thinking required for this!
Well, I didn’t ask you that question if you noticed, but since you brought up “umbrella heads,” I should’ve also said that action is being taken, and you can use the report channel. However, saying “headless” for every head model still doesn’t make any sense at all because they obviously don’t resemble each other, and as far as I know, they follow the rules. But since they got deleted, I hope there’s a reason for it.
Sorry; they’re intentionally meant to be headless by design since you’re meant to cover the dynamic head with a hair or any type of hat making it look invisible.
Either way, these types of heads have been deleted and are against TOS.
These wouldn’t be up if moderation didn’t allow them. I’ve appealed these before and moderation says aslong as it fits a requirement size it’s fine to stay up.
FYI I have made smaller heads and they have been declined by support for not meeting size requirements, so there is a fine line.
But I’m not sure why you are attacking me for this, there are way bigger creators that have made thousands of dollars making these pre-public UGC, and I can name a dozen. I’m simply following a trend that has been going on for years.
They’re more effort to create than slapping a decal on a face so I’m not sure how it isn’t a bit more creative than what’s currently going on with dynamic heads.
The truth is, there’s always gonna be a head you can call “headless”, even before Umbrella Heads people were using bundle heads like Blazeburner to disguise the middle of their head to make it appear like they had headless (And this head is WAY smaller than Dynamic Head requirements.)
I think people are taking the status symbol of Headless way too seriously, as Roblox changes and allows for more creative approaches on heads and packages there is going to continue to be smaller and smaller heads to meet an aesthetic for what a bundle is going for.
But taking down 10, 100 or even 1,000 SSHF clones is not a viable long-term solution and we need reassurance that permanent changes are going to be made here. For a start, can my report on moderators not accepting reports on these items be acknowledged?
And secondly, can you elaborate on what is being done to prevent these from being uploaded in the first place? I’m sure it’s pretty much impossible to 100% eliminate the uploads of these faces, so moderation needs to be improved to deal with any that slip through the cracks. I’m not sure why this report has been responded to with such haste but my detailed essay on the root issue here hasn’t been.
And what about the other 600+ Roblox-made faces that have been spam uploaded to the catalog? I hope there is more to this proposed “solution” than what we’re seeing now.
They didn’t do anything—I just randomly decided to report the bundles that were blatant Super Super Happy Face copies about an hour ago, and as you can see, action has been taken. It’s honestly weird how no one else even tries to report these. It gets to a point where you start thinking a staff member did this themselves.
My guess is that only certain moderators who are active at specific times actually know what to do with these reports. But right now, if you send one, I’d have to say it’s pretty effective. Might as well just click two buttons and get the same result. Just a heads-up, though—there’s no real progress on this, and staff will probably clarify at some point.
Oh, thanks for clarifying. Yes, definitely a massive inconsistency here but maybe something has been tweaked internally that’s caused them to start accepting these. Or it could be just coincidence—who knows. Hopefully this helps open the floodgates and more moderators begin opening their eyes to the reality, which is that this is simply a sneaky tactic used to evade moderation.
We forgot to include that most of the “Dynamic” faces arent dynamic. UGC creators cant read the rules where dynamic head should be dynamic in (other words the head should be able to blink, open jaw, express itself).
for static heads it should be uploaded as head accessories since you dont need any facial functionality.
I have been scammed on my main lot of times because this issue
I’m returning here to report that the items in the screenshot posted by the original poster that violated the rules have been officially deleted.
From left to right, top row to bottom row: Umbrella Head Black, Heart Head Recolorable, Heart Head (Recolorable), Heart Head Black, Headless Reverse (Recolorable), Super Super Happy Face Cheeks, Flying Half Head, Super Super Happy Face Cheeks, Black Heart Head, Star Head (Recolorable), and Headless bundles. I have also confirmed their deletion just now.
I think this is another case where Roblox doesn’t take action unless it’s an exact replica unfortunately, though these do 100% ripoff parts of other faces. You should link these two in your post, maybe a moderator will see it
Added the links and also reported them on the website. This major problem is really bad and I spend an hour or two every day (split up across the whole day) just checking the recently published to report them before there are any large amounts of purchases
I don’t think UGC in itself was a mistake. If it was properly gatekept to applications that are actively looked at then it would be a lot better and would be less cluttered
